A leading Canada-based investment bank is looking to strengthen its compliance function by hiring an experienced KYC Analyst. The bank is committed to maintaining the highest standards of client due diligence and regulatory adherence, serving clients across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end KYC reviews for onboarding new clients, including corporate, retail, and high-net-worth (HNW) individuals.
- Carry out Periodic KYC Reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Execute thorough Sanctions Screening, PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) Screening, and Adverse Media Screening using industry-standard tools and global databases.
- Identify and escalate suspicious activities or inconsistencies that may indicate financial crime risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Risk, and Relationship Management teams to resolve KYC-related issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all KYC processes in line with policy.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- 2–8 years of experience in KYC operations, client onboarding, or financial crime compliance, preferably within investment banking or a global financial institution.
- Strong understanding of Canadian and international AML/KYC regulations.
- Proficiency in using tools for screening sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media (e.g., World-Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Certifications
Candidates holding globally recognized KYC certifications will be prioritized, such as:
- I-CAMM KYC Certification (offered by IKYCA)
- IR-KAM KYC Certification (offered by American CBM)
- Or any other globally recognized KYC Certification focusing on end-to-end client due diligence.
